All India Cricket tournament from April 14

The first All India P C Batta Memorial Inter-School cricket tournament will be hosted by Dehradun’s Kasiga School from April 17 to 24. Twelve renowned schools from Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana have confirmed participation in the event. Teams from Woodstock School, YPS Mohali, St. Sophia, Delhi, PPS Nabha, SD School, Delhi, RIMC, Col. Brown School, Sela Qui International School, Nam’s School, Indian Public School, and Kasiga School will be seen in action.

Ramesh Batta, chairman of Kasiga School and organizer of the tournament, said, “The objective behind conducting the tournament is to encourage the sport of cricket and provide a platform to young cricketers to showcase their talent.”

The matches in the tournament will be played on a pitch developed with support from cricket coach Rajkumar, who is also the coach of star Indian batsman Virat Kohli.
