The government will give pension to HIV infected

Lokjan Today, Dehradun: The fourth meeting of the State AIDS Council was held at the Secretariat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat. Three important decisions were taken in the meeting. HIV-infected persons of the state will be provided free travel facility in Uttarakhand Roadways buses to go to ART center to get ART medicine.
HIV-infected persons of the state, who are primary residents of the state and are getting treatment in the center centers in the state, will be provided a pension of Rs 1000 (one thousand) for financial assistance.
Under the National AIDS Control Program, contractual doctors will also be given honorarium like other general practitioners (contract) of the state. The additional expenditure incurred on this will be borne by the state government.
