Lokjan Today, Dehradun: In Uttarakhand, elections in Srinagar and Bajpur Municipal Bodies have started for the posts of the President and the members. Election results will be announced on July 10. Voting started from 8 am on the Srinagar Garhwal, municipal elections, all the 28 booths have been started to vote for the voters. Elections have been held for 84 civic bodies in Uttarakhand in 2018, but elections were not held due to technical reasons in Srinagar and Bajpur municipal councils. In Srinagar, 44 candidates are in the fray and their fate is decided by 25 thousand 126 voters. Unlike in Srinagar, there are fewer voters in Bajpur. Here, 23 thousand 113 voters will exercise the franchise, but the number of candidates is much higher than that of Srinagar. Here, 74 candidates are filling up the election grounds. In addition to these two bodies, voting number 61 Aamwala Tarala in Doon Municipal Corporation and Ward no. 3 of Rishikesh Municipal Corporation are going to cast their votes for each post of the member of the Durga Mandir on Monday.

For this, 28 polling booths have been formed, while 5 teams have been kept in reserve. A team comprises four employees, presiding officers.
