After the irregularities of heavy sex ratio in Uttarkashi, the Central Women and Child Development Ministry came to the task. Self-styled Central Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, in Dehradun, met with the departmental ministers and officials and took stock of the matter.

A piece of surprise news came from Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand a few days ago. It was said in the 133 villages of Uttarkashi district that 216 children were born in which all the children born were boys. After coming to the news, the Uttarakhand administration came into full swing and was investigated by the bottom of the matter. Now the investigation has come out that some of the errors which came out in the data were wrong and the girls were also born in these villages. Uttarakhand Women and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya said that Union Minister Smriti Irani was very disturbed by the news and she asked for full details of the matter. Line Arya said that due to the hasty situation, in this case, wrong statistics have come out and the fact is that apart from the boys, there are girls in these villages. Line Arya said that action will be taken against those who will be guilty in the case. Because the image of Uttarakhand has got tarnished by this false figure.

Central Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani reviewed the women empowerment, child development and nutrition campaign being run in Uttarakhand. In the meeting held in the Chief Minister’s residence, CM Trivedendra Singh Rawat, Uttarakhand Women and Child Development Minister, Line Arya is present. In the meeting, instructions were given to the officers on the state government to get maximum benefit for the beneficiaries under the sponsor scheme. Explain that 4 One Stop Crisis Centers have been set up in Uttarakhand. The remaining 9 centers will be started before August 15. The emphasis is on focusing on the T3 strategy to stop anemia. Special efforts were made to increase the child sex ratio in Champawat and Chamoli. Under instructions, the States and district level committees were instructed to hold regular meetings for the children’s education campaign.
