
Will not tolerate the efforts of youth to suppress violence – Pritam Singh
Dehradun: On Sunday night, in the capital of the country, after being attacked by the chaotic elements of the Jawaharlal Nehru University on the campus, the students were attacked with life-threatening batons and hammers and watching the spectacle of the Delhi Police as a silent spectator in the whole episode. In protest, a candle march was taken out from the Congress headquarters under the leadership of State Congress President Pritam Singh today. All party MLAs and party officials attended the candle march.
Find Rti is addressing party members at the headquarters of the state Congress president Pritam Singh said that BJP and RSS and are phased plans to end democracy in all its sister organizations the country. He said that disagreements and dissent are respected in a democracy. But the RSS and BJP want that only their ideology survives in the country and there is no scope for any other ideology.
He said that with the help of violence, the BJP government wants to suppress the voice of the youth and students of the country, but the Congress will not tolerate oppression at all. He said that the Congress will respond to repression through Gandhi’s path of non-violence.

Describing the JNU incident as an open endorsement of the central government shamelessly calling fascism within the country, he said that the Prime Minister tweeting on small incidents did not get two words of condemnation from him on such an incident in the most important university in the country.
Leader of Opposition Dr. Indira Hridayesh said that the Central Government is adopting various tactics to divert public attention from unemployment, inflation, staggering economy in the country and the case of JNU is also part of it.
In the candle march, former Assembly Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal, MLA Mamta Rakesh, MLA Furkan Ahmed, MLA Adesh Chauhan, MLA Manoj Rawat, former AICC Secretary Prakash Joshi, State Vice-President Suryakant Dhasmana, former Minister Shurveer Singh Sajwan, former Minister Prasad Naithani, former Minister Matbar Singh Kandari, District Parva Doon President Gaurav Chaudhary, District Pachwa Dun President Sanjay Kishore, Mahanagar A Raksha Lal Chand Sharma, State Spokesperson Garima Dasani, Trilok Sajwan, Piya Thapa, Shobha Ram, Rajesh Sharma, Kamar Siddiqui, Lalit Bhadri, Sita Ram Notiyal, Hari Prasad Bhatt Councilor, Asha Tamta, Ramesh Kumar Councilor, Ilyas Ansari Councilor, Sagar Gurung Councilor, Naresh Gandhi, Mohan Kala, etc. The candle march started from the Congress headquarters and ended at Gandhiji’s statue in Gandhi Park.
