Krishna Poonia shames Rajyavardhan Rathore for no work done in Jaipur

Congress candidate from Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha constituency, Krishna Poonia, will file her nomination for the seat on April 15.

But before filing the nomination, she launched a scathing attack on Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, her rival candidate and sitting MP from the BJP.

Terming Rajyavardhan Rathore’s tenure a ‘failure’, Poonia claimed resentment prevails amongst people of the constituency as he has failed to fulfill the promises made.

“If I were to talk about me, they (people) have welcomed me happily because Congress has made me the candidate. On the other hand, when I go out to campaign, they come forward to tell that Rajyavardhan Rathore had made promises but did not fulfill them. People show me proof of the promises Rajyavardhan Rathore has failed to keep.”, Krishna Poonia, Congress candidate, Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha constituency, told India Today TV.

Krishna Poonia said the national highway connecting Delhi and Jaipur has become an accident-prone road. She said the flyover on the highway hasn’t been completed.

“I want to ask him, has he enumerated his work, that this is the work that I have done? Then, I will agree that he has worked. But he has nothing to count upon. The biggest example that I want to give is of the national highway on which there have been incidents on a daily basis. It has become a road of accidents and there is such heavy traffic on it. When the UPA government was there at the Centre, one more national highway’s approval was given. The government changed and that highway work was stopped. (If) that highway would have been made, we could have covered Jaipur–Delhi distance in 3-3.5 hours and secondly, the national highway’s traffic would also have been less due to which accidents could have been avoided. During Congress government, 27 flyovers were approved. Out of that, 26 were made. Work on one flyover is still pending in Shahpura, you would have also seen… He has not been able to even fully utilize his MP fund in his constituency in developmental work…”, Krishna Poonia said.
