Car goes down in a canal, three die

Lokjan Today, Haridwar: A car in Jwalapur collapsed in a small canal late on Saturday night. Three youths, including a car rider Bhelkarmi, were killed in the accident. The speed of the car was so fast that the electricity pole was broken after a strong collision. Police informed in the night and kept the three bodies in the mortuary of the district hospital. According to the police, a car was coming towards Jwalapur towards Ranipur Jala on the highway, the driver lost his control in front of the Jurs country and the car hit the small canal after colliding with the electricity pole.

At the information of passers-by, the police team of Jwalapur Kotwali reached the spot and crushed the car and pulled the car out. Kotwali in-charge Vikas Bhardwaj and Railway Chowk in-charge, Arvind Rautudi, rescued the car and took three people out and brought them to a nearby hospital. The doctor declared the three dead.

The police identified them as Prabhat Chauhan 30 years old son of Ashok Chauhan, Sachin Chauhan 34 year old son of Titu Chauhan and Johnny alias Umakant Upadhyay 30 year old son of Anand Prakash Nivasigyan Dhirvali Jwalapur Haridwar. On the information, the relatives, who reached the spot on the occasion, kept the three bodies in the mortuary of the district hospital. In-charge Kotwal Vikas Bharadwaj told that Sachin Chauhan is working in BHEL. While Prabhat Chauhan works in contract with Bhel only. Johnny works in Tata company in Jharkhand. He had come to Haridwar by car from Jharkhand.
