Voting begins in 5 seats in Uttarakhand

In the greatness of democracy, 7856268 voters will decide the fate of 52 candidates in the five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand on Thursday. Polling started at seven o’clock in the morning and will run till 5 PM. All the people who will be in the polling station by five o’clock will be given an opportunity to vote. For fair and peaceful elections the state has been divided into 237 sectors and 1371 zones. A total of 56145 personnel have been deployed at 11229 polling booths and kept in 11235 reserves. Together with the security forces, the total number of 1.2 million personnel will be completed. Heavy security forces and police have been deployed to deal with any untoward incident.
Polling has started in the first phase of Uttarakhand for the 17th Lok Sabha on Thursday. After nearly a month of intensive publicity, the opportunity came when the voters of the state are voting for choosing their MPs. A total of 52 candidates, including 47 men and five female candidates, are trying their luck in five seats. Among them are Union Minister of State Ajay Tamta, former Chief Minister and MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, MP Mala State Laxmi Shah, Rajya Sabha member Pradeep Tamta, BJP State President Ajay Bhatt and Congress State President Pritam Singh.
Besides this, the future of BJP National Secretary Teerath Singh Rawat, Congress MP Ambareesh Kumar, BSP leader Space Saini and BJP MP Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri, Manish Khanduri, who is contesting from Pauri constituency, also wager the fate. But it is in place.
In order to conduct free and fair elections, so many Presiding Officers and 44916 Voting Officers have been deployed in 11229 polling booths. To combat any untoward incident, 16000 police personnel, 17596 Home guards, 4100 PRD and 1509 volunteers have been deployed. In addition, 65 companies of the central paramilitary force have also been deployed in the elections. In total 11229 booths have been declared as 697 highly sensitive and 656 booths have been declared vulnerable. 800 micro observers and 1180 webcasting teams have been deployed to monitor the election process, which will be a live broadcast of the process for the district, state and Central Election Commission.
