Leadership capacity development in women is necessary: ​​Governor

Dehradun: Governor Baby Rani Maurya said that women should develop their leadership capacity by engaging in social service work in greater numbers. Women should support and support each other. Women should take active participation in social work and concerns.


The Governor urged that every capable woman must help a needy child. A delegation of 33 women faculty members of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies presented a courtesy call on Governor Baby Rani Maurya at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

Women leadership is being encouraged in various fields under the “Shakti” program conducted by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. Under the Shakti program, the said women are being given training in leadership development.

 



Various questions were posed by the women present in the program to Governor Maurya. In response to a question about the challenges faced in the lives of women, Governor Maurya said that women can face every challenge with family support. Women should make their own path while remaining firm on their confidence and principles. He moved forward in life by making good synergy between career and family.

The governor said that being a woman is a matter of pride in herself. Women moved forward in every sphere of life with confidence and diligence. He encouraged the women present and wished them a bright future. HERS Chairmen Sharad Mehra, Senior Director Arun Dhand, Director Human Resources Monica Jain, Jaya Suri were also present on the occasion.
