Election Commission demands removal of doubts about EVMs

Lokjan Today, Dehradun: Former Minister and Senior Congress leader, Nawabhatta, asked the Election Commission to take initiative with transparency to remove the doubts and suspicions of political parties regarding EVMs.

In the press conference, Navprabha said that the EVMs have received strong complaints of unauthorized operation and transport, the Commission did not get it diagnosed, the Vivepat expressed its misuse.

On six booths of four out of five parliamentary seats in the state, EVM machines were fully polluted without recording records after the mock poll. After the matter came to light, the Election Commission has instructed them to complete these counting by only VVPAT by removing these machines from the counting of votes. Where VPPAT machines have been used on the mock pole, they will be counted on the basis of total votes in the booth.
