Doors of the world famous Gangotri Dham to open on May 7

Lokjan Today, Uttarkashi. On the auspicious occasions of Navratri, the auspicious time for opening the doors of world-famous Gangotri Dham has been decided. The gates of the Gangotri temple will open on May 7 at 11:30 pm On this day the doors of Yamunotri Dham are also to be opened. The auspicious time for opening of the Yamuna Potter’s doors is to be decided on the occasion of Yamuna Jayanti on May 11. At the same time, the doors for Kedarnath Dham and Badrinath Dham will be opened on 9th May and 10th May respectively.

Ganga Dharamshala located at the bus station of Uttarkashi has been set up for the opening of Gangotri on behalf of pilgrims. Gangeshri Temple Committee Chairman Suresh Semwal said that Gangotri’s Doli will leave for the Gangotri on 12:35pm on May 6 at an “Abhijit Muhurat”.
Doli travel will halt for the night in Bhoaur valley. After this, on the afternoon of May 7, Abhijeet Muhurat of Akshaya third festival, doors will be opened at 11.30 pm for the devotees of Gangotri Dham. While Yamunotri’s doors will open on May 7. The auspicious embankment of opening the doors will be fixed on 11th April.

On this occasion, temple committee secretary Deepak Seamwal, co-secretary Rajesh Samwal, vice president Arun Sehmwal, treasurer Prem Ballabh Sehmwal, convener Harish Seamwal, Rakesh Samwal, Sanjay Seamwal were present. At the same time, the Kadar Nath Dham doors will open at 5.35 am on the morning of May 9. The next day, the doors of Badrinath Dham will be opened at 4.15 in the morning. In order to reach the Chardhams, these days the local administration is busy working on the removal of snow in the streets.
