Lokjan Today, New Delhi: Delhi Police arrested Apurva on Wednesday in connection the murder of her husband Rohit. A senior police official said that both were not happy with their marriage and they had frequent quarrels. Rohit Shekhar was allegedly strangled on April 16.
Apurva was being questioned in connection with this case on Sunday. She was constantly changing her statement, so the police suspected her. Rohit’s mother, Ujjwala, on Sunday accused her Daughter in law Apurva and her family saying that they were greedy and wanted to take their family property. She had earlier said that there were quarrels between the couple only on the first day of marriage.

It is being told that there may be some addictive substance given to Rohit before murdering him as some of Rohit’s limbs were blue. However, there are still many things to come out in this regard. After post-mortem in AIIMS, police filed a case of murder on Thursday and sent it to Crime Branch for investigation. Dr. Sudhir Gupta, Head of the AIIMS Forensic Department, had said that the medical board has reached consensus on the conclusion that in this case death has been caused by suffocation due to throat swab and mouth and nose closure. It is an unnatural death that happened suddenly, which falls under the category of murder.
