Car driver shot dead by masked men on Delhi Dehradun bypass

The man who was buying a bottle of water at the Balaji Hotel on the Delhi Dehradun bypass of Paratapur police station area was shot by masked gunmen with bullets.

The deceased had come to attend a weeding ceremony at Motilal Nehru Memorial Farm House, located at Delhi Butla House, Okhla, at Meerut Hapur Road.  While returning from the wedding, 5 masked men with guns surrounded him while he stopped at Balaji Hotel on the bypass to buy a bottle of water.

They started firing at the car which killed the man on the drivers seat, Leik Ahmed.  Leik Ahmed’s companions Ali Abbas Naqvi, Mohammad Qadir, Babar Ansari, Shital Sohail resident of Butola House saved their lives as they ran out of the car.

They informed that there was no reason for the gunmen to fire at them since there was no sort of argument or altercation between them on the road or at the ceremony.

It is not clear as to why the gunmen shot at the car. Paratapur police, who reached the spot after receiving the information, have recovered about 5 sets of cartridges from the spot.
