Today’s big news from the Uttarakhand government in Dehradun:

6 IAS and 12 PCS officers have been transferred. IAS Harish Chandra has been removed from the position of Deputy Chairman of the District Development Authority in Udham Singh Nagar and given the new responsibility of Director, Services Scheme in Haldwani. IAS Abhishek Ruhela, previously the District Magistrate of Uttarkashi, has been transferred to the position of Deputy Chairman of the District Development Authority in Udham Singh Nagar. IAS Meharban Singh Bisht has been removed from the position of Additional Secretary, Sugarcane Commissioner, and appointed as the District Magistrate of Uttarkashi. Additional Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ms. Ravneet Cheema, has been relieved of the additional charge and will now be responsible for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department. IAS Vishal Mishra has been transferred from CEO, Udham Singh Nagar, to CEO, Tehri Garhwal. IAS Manish Kumar has been transferred from CEO, Tehri Garhwal, to CEO, Udham Singh Nagar.

PCS Transfers:

Mohan Singh Barniya has been removed from the position of Secretary, Mussoorie Development Authority, and appointed as the Excise Commissioner. Jay Bharat Singh has been transferred from Deputy Commissioner, Sugarcane, Kashipur, and relieved of the additional responsibility of Deputy District Magistrate, Administration. The joint chief administrator of the Uttarakhand Housing and Urban Development Authority, Dehradun, Pankaj Kumar Upadhyay, has been relieved from the charge of Municipal Commissioner, Haldwani Municipal Corporation, and given a new responsibility. Deputy Collector, Pauri, Yukta Mishra, has been transferred. Deputy Secretary, Uttarakhand Information Commission, Dehradun, Kostubh Mishra, has been given additional responsibility as Secretary, District Development Authority, Udham Singh Nagar. Abhijit Prasad Bajpai has been transferred from Deputy Director, Municipal Corporation, to City Magistrate, Haldwani. Reecha Singh has been transferred from City Magistrate, Haldwani, to Deputy Director, Training Directorate, Haldwani. Kushm Chauhan has been transferred from Joint Secretary, MDDA, to Deputy Collector, Haridwar. Tushar Saini has been appointed as Deputy Collector, Nainital. Kumkum Joshi has been appointed as Deputy Collector, Dehradun. Chandrashekhar has been appointed as Deputy Collector, Chamoli. Bhagat Singh Phonia has been appointed as Deputy Collector, Rudraprayag.
