Chief Secretary declares: Beneficiaries will get the full benefit of DBT scheme

Lokjan Today, Dehradun: Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh reviewed the Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme in the Secretariat on Wednesday. He instructed all the departments that the benefit given to all the beneficiaries of DBT should be given through 100% DBT from August 1, 2019. He instructed all departments to upload information of their beneficiaries to the website promptly. The Chief Secretary said that the department related to agriculture should also use POS machines while giving fertilizers to farmers so that the eligible person can get the benefit. He said that the Department of Education should make students’ school dress, books scholarship, etc. fully available through DBT. He emphasized on the payment of any kind of payment to the beneficiaries directly to the beneficiary’s account by the departments. He directed all departments to make DBT 100% in this financial year. On this occasion, senior officials of the concerned departments including Secretary Amit Negi, R Meenakshi Sundaram, and Shailesh Bagoli were present.
