BJP legislator Kunwar Pranav Singh, who was interviewed for his controversial statements for several days, made an objectionable comment on Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Today, BJP MLA Kunwar Pranav Champion from Khanpur seat of Haridwar in the Press Conference held at the Press Club in Dehradun said that the image of Mahatma Gandhi should be removed from the currency.
Said that if Mahatma Gandhi had made Jinnah the PM, he would have not divided India. But Gandhi made Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru PM. In Kashmir, Article 370 and Section 35 A are the results of Nehru becoming PM. If Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was not there, Hyderabad would also be in Pakistan. He was the real leader.
Said that the efforts of Subhash Chandra Bose have given us our freedom not the charkha. I do not consider Gandhi as the fathere of our nation. Gandhi has advanced the Divide and Rule of the British. What Ajaybhai Bhatt thinks of gandhi is his opinion. My thinking is different. I am free to keep my thoughts.
I will not sit quiet I will also hold press conferences in Delhi. I have told the Chief Minister that they should request the Prime Minister and the President to amend the constitution and take the ‘Father of the Nation’ tag away from Mahatma Gandhi and give it to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar who has made the Constitution.
