Haridwar – The state government is engaged in all the preparations for the Mahakumbh that is going to start in Haridwar in the next 2021. Due to this, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat is also reviewing the auspicious works from time to time. In this sequence, a high-level meeting was held today in Uttarakhand Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar, in which senior officers of Public Works Department, Health, Energy, Watershed, Food Supply Department were present and officers given in Mahakumbh 2021 Police officers of the new deployment were also present in this meeting.

In the meeting, Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar gave directions to the officials to keep good quality in all the construction works being done in Kumbh, mainly to speed up the Kumbh works and some action has been taken in the past due to poor quality. Due to which the contract of a contractor has also been canceled, so a big event is going to be held in Haridwar of the country. Due to which the officials were given directions in the meeting today regarding all the arrangements. In this meeting, along with the top officers of all, senior police officers were also present.

Strict instructions have been given to the same magistrate and the concerned departments today so that there is no reduction in quality, as well as the inspection of the third party, is going on continuously. Such contractors have also been asked to take action against poor quality.



The Mahakumbh is currently 1 year old, but there are many pending Kumbh works that are still incomplete in which the works of bridge construction, road construction, tent work, and media center are currently going on. Sampling work is also being done through agency regarding Kumbh works so that there is no loss in quality.

Kumbh Mela officer Deepak Rawat said that the most important work in the fair is on the national highway and the second under-line cabling work is the most important and all the instructions have been given to speed up other works as well and the timing of the upcoming Kumbh Given this, all the works will be completed soon. This time in Mahakumbh 2021, the number of devotees is estimated to be around 9 crore, due to which the administration is engaged in making all comprehensive preparations. Along with this, officers have also been posted for the biggest event of the country.
