Jam in Mussoorie area due to snowfall

Dehradun: On Saturday, due to snowfall in the Mussoorie area and the increasing influx of tourists, the situation of the entire Mussoorie area was jammed.

Due to snowfall, the problem was further aggravated by tourists parking vehicles on both sides of the road and slippery conditions on the road. Due to which tourists had to face the situation of jam.

To deal with the above situation, the District Administration was provided by the District Supply Officer Dehradun to the passengers trapped in the jam with the help of ITBP and local police.

Food items such as food packets and food items were distributed to the people trapped in the snowfall. About 500 passengers were taken to safer places and tourist accommodations in the snowfall.

With the help of police and ITBP team from the District Administration, Additional District Magistrate (V / R), Additional District Magistrate Administration and Deputy District Magistrate, Mussoorie arranged for the evacuation of the passengers stuck in the Mussoorie area at night to safe places.

In the presence of the National Highways Executive Engineer himself, snow was removed and lime and salt were sprinkled through the JCB route.
