Breaking: The sub-inspector of Uttarakhand Police was arrested for accepting bribes!

The complainant lodged a complaint on the toll-free helpline number 1064 of the Vigilance Department that he was falsely accused of electricity theft by a corrupt official when he was actually using the electricity for constructing his house. Despite refusing to pay a bribe, he demanded legal action against the corrupt officer. Following an investigation by the Vigilance Department in Nainital, Haldwani, a trap team was formed, and today, on January 30, 2024, Sub-Inspector Mohan Singh Bohra was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of 4000 rupees from the complainant near Kalakheda police station in Udham Singh Nagar district. The case will be further investigated under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Director of Vigilance, Dr. V. Murugesan, announced cash rewards for the trap team.
