Lokjan Today, Haridwar: There has been a strong protest from the villagers about the proposed eco-sensitive zone around the Rajaji Tiger Reserve. The villagers also protested against it last day. Now once again on Monday, the villagers expressed strong opposition during the public hearing held in Motichur. There was a lot of uproar during the public hearing. Villagers expressed strong resentment over the lack of high park officials and opposed the meeting. Villagers shouted slogans against the park administration, calling the Sensitive Zone a black law. Former village head Sanjay Pokhriyal of Gauhrimafi, who is spearheading the movement, said that forcible park law cannot be imposed. Wild animals entering houses remain enemies of people’s lives. The park administration is doing nothing to protect the people. The Eco-Sensitive Zone will not be allowed to apply at any cost. The public hearing could not take place after the villagers protested.
