Rajiv Chawla / Lokjan Today / Udhamsinghnagar.Uttarakhand: – In Suraj, Mahima Gandhi and Vaidehi Pitt from Uttarakhand will participate in the 6-day biennial competition from 22-27 August 2019 in Kazan, Russia. In the competition, 48 participants from 18 states and Union Territories will represent the country. The Government of India’s Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry (MSIDE) has announced a 48-member team that will represent India in the world’s largest performance of outstanding skill excellence, under the Worldskills International Competition 2019. Udham Singh Nagar City Khatima’s Suraj is 22 years old and is an auto body repair technician. Udham Singh Nagar’s Mahima Gandhi is 20 years old and is a beauty therapist. Vaidhei Pant, aged 19 years, is from Haridwar and runs a restaurant service.

A contestant is 17 years old. Participants from all over India are included in Team India, 6 of which come from the Northeast Region. 77% of the participants in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns and 10 are different speakers. Most of these contestants come from very ordinary backgrounds. 35% of parents either work in the fields or are wage laborers.
