Rice mills are constantly closing in the valley called paddy bowl.

Due to the wrong policies of the government, the rice mills reached the verge of closure, why the rice mills are being closed in the state, who is responsible for this.

Rajiv / Lokjan Today / Rudrapur, Udhamsingh Nagar.

Rudrapur Yes, due to the wrong payment policies of the state government, 250 rice mills out of a total of 550 rice mills have settled in Basi in the present time.

On the other hand, even after the central government stopped buying rice on levy from rice mills, now rice is going through a very bad phase in the Terai.

It is worth noting that in Udhamsinghnagar, located in Terai, about 90 percent of the entire state’s paddy is produced and farmers here grow two or two crops of paddy in a year.

The reason is that there is also a large number of rice mills here, but 250 rice mills in the district are now locked due to the Central Government to stop buying rice on levy from rice mills and the State Government has paid arrears to rice mills for a long time.
The state government owes Rs 58 crore last year’s rice mills of Terai at the present time.

Whereas according to the rules, the state government has to pay custom milling rice to the rice mills within a week.

On the other hand, the chief industrialist of Terai and the current chairman of KGCCI, Ashok Bansal, also has a clear point that if the government corrects its payment policies, then the rice mill industries which are moaning badly in the Terai can get a living.

If the state government does not pay the arrears of crores of rupees soon to the rice mills facing financial crisis, then the Terai rice industry can be considered fixed on the brink of the gradual arrest.
