Kichha: August Revolution Day was celebrated with great pomp by flag hoisting by the MLA Rajesh Shukla at the freedom struggle fighter memorial located at Narayanpur Tirahe, organized on the occasion of August Revolution Day. MLA Shukla while addressing the public said that on the night of August 8, 1890, Mahatma Gandhi made a strategy to start the British Quit India Movement, which was started by the great revolutionaries, fighters on 9 August. Starting on 9 August, the martyrs pledged that in the case of do or die, now the British will be forced to leave India. This day is celebrated as August Revolution Day, today we feel proud that due to the sacrifice of those great fighters, we are taking an open breath in the society. Said that the martyrs’ martyrs will be put on the fair country every year, this will be the only mark of those who die. We should learn from the sacrifices of our martyred fighters and do social service and the next generation should also take inspiration to work in the national interest. MLA Shukla thanked the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on behalf of all the freedom fighters, heirs present and lovers of the present nation, on the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, that the fighters had a holy month of August to liberate the country.
