Vikasnagar: Under the leadership of Jana Sangh Morcha Raghunath Singh Negi, the state agitators and their dependents were besieged to give reservation to Vikasnagar. During this, he submitted a memorandum to the President through SDM Vikasnagar Kaustubh Mishra. During this, Negi said that the Legislative Assembly had passed a bill in 2015 for approval of the state’s selected agitators and their dependents in Uttarakhand state for giving 10 percent horizontal reservation in the Raj Bhavan for approval. While the letter was again sent to the Raj Bhavan on 16 June 2016 as per the decision of the Cabinet, it was neither taken into consideration nor the bill returned. He said that despite the important fact, a letter was again sent to the Raj Bhavan by the Principal Secretary, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Department, Uttarakhand on 4 December 2018 for approval. But even after eight months, till date, the approval has not been given and neither the letter and the bill have been returned. He has written in a letter to the Governor that Raj Bhavan has been given unlimited powers in the constitution, but the respect of the sentiments of the people and the bill/resolution passed by the assembly is also justified. Negi said that along with the sacrifices of the agitators who formed the state, the Raj Bhavan is playing with the interests of those people and is also disrespecting the decision of the cabinet. It is due to these agitators that His Majesty is taking advantage of the comfort and comfort of the Raj Bhavan, but the work of indifference is being done to give justice to them. During this time many people were present with Raghunath.
