Panchayat elections: Provisional notification for fixing reservation will be released today

Dehradun: The state government has started making rapid strides for the three-tier panchayat elections. Due to which, a provisional notification is being issued in 12 districts on Saturday i.e. today to fix reservation in panchayats. After this, people will have time to register objections or make suggestions on the proposed reservation for two days. The days of Monday and Tuesday are fixed for this. Only after this, the DM concerned in all districts will take action on the objections and suggestions.

Reservation of more than 66 thousand posts of three-tier panchayat is being decided. The final publication of the reservation proposal will be done on August 24 at the district level. After this, the proposal will reach the government through the directorate. The government will send a decisive notice of reservation on August 27 to the State Election Commission. After which the State Election Commission will send the election program to the government. The election schedule will be declared as soon as the government agrees.
