Outstanding expenses will be charged from former chief ministers

Nainital – The court sought a response from the state government in the matter of recovering the expenses of housing allowance and other facilities from former chief ministers. In the petition, 3 former Chief Ministers Ramesh Pokhriyal Nikshank, BC Khanduri, and Vijay Bahuguna were made a party and Governor of Maharashtra and a constitutional post, in view of which they were sent a notice in article 361/4 but in the case, Bhagat Singh Koshyari is former Chief Minister. Seeing that they too will now be made a party, after which they can be issued a notice in the next hearing. After the order of the High Court, the ordinance brought by the state government to waive expenses has been challenged by the High Court of Dehradun. Public interest litigation filed against this ordinance by the Rulak Sanstha states that the state government has abused its power and passed the ordinance which is unconstitutional. Guidelines were given in this context in the past by the High Court. After which this ordinance was brought.
