Increase number of passengers in Char Dham Yatra

The Chardham Yatra has once again started gaining momentum. After July, the Chardham Yatra slowed down after the onset of monsoon in the state, which has once again caught the pace. In Uttarakashi, a total of 851599 pilgrims have arrived in this Char Dham Yatra so far, in which 452770 pilgrims visited Gangotri while in Yamunotri. 398829 passengers visited.

Passenger traffic has increased in Gangotri and Yamnotri Dham. After the monsoon season has passed, due to the pleasant weather in the sunshine, the Dham has started buzzing once again.

Due to landslides in the rainy season, the Yamunotri and Gangotri highways were disrupted and the tour operators stopped bringing pilgrims to this site. Travel routes are now ready for safe traffic. After the beginning of September 1500 to 2000 passengers are reaching Uttarkashi daily and are visiting Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. The movement of vehicles here is smooth due to the landslide in Orji Dubarkot, which became a canker for the Yamunotri Highway. With this, the journey to Yamunotri Dham has also started gaining momentum. The pilgrims reaching here are enjoying the lukewarm weather in the Dhams.
