Lokjan Today, Haridwar: Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat reached Harki Pauri today and performed a symbolic fast. Through a fast, he called for the reconstruction of the demolished Sant Ravidas temple in Delhi. He said that the government could have shifted the temple elsewhere if it wanted to, but it was not done. At the same time, he also demanded to implement the action plan made during his Chief Minister’s tenure for the salvation of Sant Ravidas Temple at Harki Pauri. He said that people pass with shoes on top of Ravidas temple situated at Harki Pauri. His government had decided to remove the staircase above the temple and widen the bridge and make the dome look. The BJP government did not act on this plan. During this time, a large number of Congressmen and followers of Sant Ravidas attended the symbolic fasting program of Harish Rawat.
