Lokjan Today, Dehradun: In a dispute during the marriage, a scheduled caste youth was beaten to death by the upper castes. After ten days in the hospital, the youth died on Sunday morning. The deceased’s sister had lodged a case of abuse and beatings against seven people of the village in Kamptee police station of Tehri district the very next day. According to the police, in the post-mortem report, the case of death is by beating, other currents will be added in the case. At the same time, after the death of the young man in Dehradun, the family sat on a dharna outside Coronation Hospital. Meanwhile, he remained firm on the insistence of taking the body to CM house. Simultaneously, the demand for removal of the entire staff of the Kanti police station rose. Let me tell you that the income of the youth was the cost of the house. The family is demanding that a member of the house be given a government job.
This incident was reported on April 26 in the village of Sikot in Jaunpur Vikaskhand of Tehri district. At that time, some youths were eating food at a wedding ceremony, when a youth Jitendra, a resident of Basan village came there. In the meantime, there was a clash between him and the upper caste. The allegation is that the upper caste people beat Jitendra badly by showing offense. Somehow he got out of there and reached his house.
The relatives took Jitendra from the Nainabag health center for treatment, after giving primary treatment, the doctors referred him to the Higher Center. On this, the family brought him to Sri Mahant Indiresh Hospital in Dehradun, where he succumbed to death on Sunday morning. Jitendra’s sister Pooja gave information against seven people in the Campati police station the next day of the incident. On this basis, on 29th April, the police used to use seven words of Gram Bhatwadi, Gaejeet Singh, Sobat Singh, Kushali, Gabbar Singh, Gambhir Singh, Hari Singh and Hukam Singh against abusive slogans, threats of death, assault and caste. The case was registered. On Sunday, the deceased’s sister accused the upper castes of killing Jitendra.
SP Dr. Yogendra Singh Rawat said that initial investigations have revealed that after the incident, a youth named Jitendra went to his home and there he took the medicine of epilepsy. He was taken to the hospital after this. SP says that due to the death of the young man, the post-mortem report will be known only after the report. In accordance with this, currents will be increased in the trial.
DM Sonika says that the case has already been filed against seven people in this case. The next step will be taken after the post-mortem report arrives. Strict action will be taken against anyone who is guilty.
