A meeting of preparations for the Kawand Mela 2019 was concluded today under the chairmanship of CMR Auditor, Roady Belvala in the state tourism, culture, and in-charge of the district Mr. Satpal Ji Maharaj. He directed the departmental officials to cut down the bushes around the Kannwad yatra route and make proper arrangements for drinking water. In-charge Minister Mr. Satpal Ji Maharaj said that in addition to the temporary medical camps on the Kawand yatra routes, special attention should be paid to the availability of staff and medicines, an ambulance with power supply. While discussing with the officials in the meeting, Shri Maharaj said that the use of polythene in Haridwar Nagar, including the cleaning of Ganga Ghats, Haraki Padi should be restricted during the journey of Kawand. They also directed the authorities to ensure the quality of food and to put their rates list. With the removal of encroachment in the Kawand Mela area, it has been said that no more than 7 feet should be made of cannabis. In the meeting, the In-charge Minister also directed the officers of the Department of Transport Department to fix the route and rates of auto and e-rickshaw running in Haridwar. Shri Maharaj expressed his resentment at the slow pace of construction of National Highway in the meeting, The officials of H.K. also put the letter.
