Haldwani: SDM Haldwani Vivek Rai, SDM Nainital Vinod Kumar and Forest Department team have jointly taken major action on the complaint of illegal mining going on in Kathgodam for a long time.

While raiding sub-continent sites worth millions of rupees illegally collected in Kathgodam, the team has also demolished the illegally built crude construction, as well as seized two trucks engaged in illegal mining. This action of the team stirred the mining mafias.

Let us tell you that the mafia mafias were so strong that they had committed indecency many times with the lower level employees of the forest department and police. According to the team, the mining mafia Raju Thapa, a resident of Kathgodam, was licking lakhs of rupees to the government through illegal mining.
