Rahul Gandhi and company went into mourning after air strikes: Amit Shah

BJP President Amit Shah launched a fresh attack on Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, accusing him of mourning the air strikes in Balakot along with those in the ruling establishment in Pakistan, even though the operation was hailed by national celebrations.

He said that Gandhi may continue to do “Ilu Ilu” (a famous 1990’s Bollywood song that abbreviated the phrase I love you) with Pakistan, but under Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a 56-inch chest, they will give an appropriate response to any act of cross-border terror.

The Balakot air strikes were only mourned by two types of people. One was the ones in Pakistan’s ruling establishment. The second was Rahul baba and company, “Shah said here to an election rally.

We have had to contend with the humiliation of Pakistan-sponsored terrorists killing our soldiers and mutilating their bodies since the 1990s, whenever Congress was in power. The president of the BJP said that Karyakartas (BJP-RSS workers) like me can’t forget how helpless Mouni Baba (Manmohan Singh) looked.

Shah was here campaigning for the JD(U) candidate Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh, a state minister and close aide of Nitish Kumar.

Shah began his 25-minute speech with an appeal to the public to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai saying it must be loud enough to be heard in the Jharkhand neighboring state where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is camping.
